June as been an unusually wet month; we had our entire annual rainfall this month, plus in one 24 hour period we had our entire June rainfall. The last time we had weather like this was in the 1950s. You don't look at all like a stern headmistress. Good to hear that roses are doing well, and that cake sounds wonderful. I'm hoping to find tasty things at the Good Food and Wine show on Sunday. I need a treat.

I hope you enjoy the Wine & Food Show. I used to love to go the Diner's Club Picnic when I lived in Sydney. You do need a treat, hope you find one.

You can't see the face I look at in the mirror. It is totally depressing how it has deteriorated. My skin has become so dry that it has swollen and my eye lids won't tuck back where they are supposed to be, and what used to be fine lines have become crevices. I'm experimenting at present with various types of face cream. The latest is cocoa butter; it smells delicious but isn't really helping. I think I will have to go back to the dermatologist again.
