You may find more satisfaction looking east of Christ...

but it will be different. The gods and the teachings of their books are not to be taken literally. If you like symbolism and metaphors which provide life meaning, look to your non-Judeo christian religions. It would provide more satisfaction without the large institutional control. And obviously, you should look into Hinduism, read the Bhagvad Gita. And if you're in for some war stories between gods, but still provides meaning, read the Mahabharat.

And another word of warning, don't join the Hare Krishna's they're not Hindu but a cult.

Just a recommendation, but note that it may be harder to find what you want in eastern religions because its usually part of an upbringing, but when you reach something you'll love it.

I'll definitely check it out. At the least, it gives insight into the workings of a great civilization.

i have an idea: solipsism

of course, it's not falsifiable, but then again, neither is God, so there you have it.

don't turn to religion, turn to philosophy. same thing? you be the judge.
