TOWJWAGABI, Part 2

Mar 13, 2004 16:12

This is more experimental than I usually am. Usually, I totally know where the story is going and even though I adore comments and feedback and suggestions from readers, I've already got the story mapped out in my head, so the suggestions don't really figure in to the rest of the story ( Read more... )

I got this chapter -- was the first private?

I too LOVE this Dan. And I love that he loves Justin. And, that Justin put it out there AGAIN for love.

And you're possibly the only person that can write this but I'm banking on YOUR Brian (and I've read all your thoughts on this) interferring.

A couple of people said the same thing. I never filter, so I wonder if there were a ton of posts on other LJ's the day I posted the first part so some people just missed it maybe?

Curious!

Thanks for the comments--glad you're enjoying the story so far! Hope I can pull something off through to the end!

I'm really enjoying this. Right now, I'm not so much concerned about how it will end up, as I am hoping it takes a long tale to get there. (Although when it gets close to the end, the OTP in me will surface, I'm sure ( ... )

To get Justin back, he would have to actually develop into a better person, himself. And then he would have to allow Justin to see and believe this. If that happened, then Justin's choosing him would mean much more to both of them.

Oh, man! This sounds really hard to write! That sending-one-of-the-rivals-to-prison idea is sounding better and better!

Thanks for the feedback! It really helps me frame what it is I want to tell in the next part!

Yes, I'm thinking polygamy may be the only out here. But Brian can be the washing dishes, cleaning the bathroom partner until he shapes up. (grin)

Dan! Dan! He's our man! *koff*

Seriously, I love Dan. And I love B/J, but this Brian makes me want to smack him so hard. If he doesn't get past those self-protective lashouts, he's going to end up a very lonely person. Oh, wait, he already is.

I'm of the opposite opinion about the Brian vs. Dan thing. The first chapter made me root for Dan, because Brian a) was controlling Justin's life b) assumed Justin's life was his business when it was Brian who'd ended it c) planned on ruining two people's happiness just so he could feel better about his mistakes. The second chapter swung me towards sympathy with Brian, because I share the same sentiments about being single, quasi-independent, and the commitment phobia (though I'm way, way more easy going about it than Brian.) Still...I like how Justin and Dan met, and Brian's fears don't excuse how he acted out. I'm sure I'll vacillate between the two camps throughout the fic.

Early Sunday morning, Brian stood in the middle of some nightclub, the lights strobing overhead in all the beautiful colors of the rainbow as beautiful, hot, sexy men, Jesus Christ, so men fucking, fuckable men, presented themselves to Brian.I think there's a 'many' missing between 'men' and 'fucking ( ... )

That's my goal anyway! I want Dan and Brian to be real enough that either one of them can be shitty and either one of them can be amazing!

I think there's a 'many' missing between 'men' and 'fucking'.

Whoops! Thanks! Will correct now...

This made me sad for Justin.
Me too. He's pretty young not to have many expectations about that kind of thing!

Thanks for the great feedback! I really appreciate it!

I think Brian and Dan need to become really good friends, because Brian needs a grown-up friend (and I like Dan)... And then in my utopian little world B & J get back together and all is amicable and happy!!!

Okay, I think I'm up to about three options now:
1. Kill one of them
2. Send one of them to prison
3. Make Brian and Dan really good friends

Wait!

4. Write on and on and on and on without ever resolving anything!

Thanks for the comment!
