So good. You even managed to work in the canonical hand to cheek.
You opened yourself quite a lot of interesting possibilities with the selling of Grimaldi shipping and Luke finally doing something he wants (but, oh, that guilt!), and the suggestion that some day they will move away, heartwrench and all. Well played.
Can I just say how much I love love love how you write Luke and Reid domesticity? Because I do. It's so seamless and an easy bridge from what we're seeing now on the show to here, I love it. I love this whole universe you have going on here, and how many more times can I say love in this comment? xD
He was lacing up his shoes when it dawned on him that he was still grinning like a loon.
I also cannot stop smiling! But, Reid's smiling for a good reason because he has the awesome boyfriend that is Luke Synder. I love this. I love this so hard. I am Reided over. It is to be bowled over by how definitively Reid this is. How do you have perfect Reid voice? You just do. There's that clash of total snark and then a beat later he's the concerned and loving boyfriend that he really is underneath the fun snark. Luke has it so good and he's getting laid on a regular basis! *imagines this as a television show that never ends*. You hear me, Myrna? Never. Ends.
Also: Reid cupped Luke’s ass and pressed their groins together. “You have no idea what you’re depriving yourself of,” Reid said. He gave Luke a wet, messy kiss. “I want you to see the look on your face right before I come inside you,” he whispered. “It’s the most beautiful thing I’ve ever seen.” He slipped Luke’s soft earlobe into his mouth and gently sucked, then said softly, “Next to the look on your face right after.”
I'm not sure how you manage to take something that said without a shred of coyness, something frankly sexual, and maybe it romantic, but you do.
There's really nothing I love more than watching people fall deeper in love.
Oh my gosh, I've never been able to articulate before the kind of fic I love to write--"domestic" is the word I've always used, but that's not it--it's just the every day things that make two characters love each other more one day to the next.
Thanks so much for the great note--it's so appreciated!
