I remember back in the early 70’s the year after my fourth daughter was born when I was working full time and had three other lively daughters in various stages of day care and school and extracurricular activities. I felt like I never had a moment to call my own. Making ends meet was a constant challenge to raising a big family. My husband and I

Love this story... I'm so glad that you emerged from such a dark place, my friend. The world is a far better place for you being in it.
I hope you'll post pictures of this wonderful sounding quilt! I know I'd love to see it!

The quilt is huge. I'm not sure I can get a good picture of it all but I will try.
How's the book sales going? I did a review for it on Amazon for you awhile back.
Thanks for reading and for being such an encouraging friend!Glad to be 'talking' with you again! :)

I think the book sales are going okay? I honestly don't really know for sure. Was that you who wrote that review? I did see it! Thank you SOOOO much for that!!! You have no idea how much that means to me. Thank you sooo much. :-)
Good to see you back around and I'm glad to be "talking" with you again too!

Because I bought the book at Amazon they sent me a request to write a review so I said 'why not?' I hope it was helpful enough to get others interested to buy it too. I enjoy the short story anthology type books that I can carry around and read while I wait for appointments and such.

I love quilts that are made with family clothing scraps.
I kept a bunch of my dad's shirts when he died. I don't know if I'll ever get anything made with them (I'm not a sewing person) but I would really like to have something made with them.

I went really big and ambitious with that first quilt of mine. It is queen bed size so I know I can't get a really good entirety photo but I will see what I can do. Thanks for reading!

Beautifully crafted, love it.
So good to read your things again. I am just not in that mind space at the moment, all I can do to keep up the odd post on LJ, but am painting like crazy, up to three a week. So guess with that and the gardening (have pulled out bushes, cut back shrubs, and generally given the knee a thorough work out) so we can't do it all. I have to accept I will do what I can. Yes, a photo of even part of the quilt would be lovely.

I hope you can find time to write next time maybe. Your painting sounds like such a lovely outlet too. Thanks for reading me and please keep in touch!
I will have to see about the photo of the quilt. I had a devil of a time when I last tried to post a picture. I used to know how to do it...but now I am shy to try again.
