Fangirling Weekend

My friend pointed out yesterday that I haven't posted here for days now. Well aside from school, I've been very busy downloading stuff. For some reason, torrent seems sooo slow nowadays. :|

So here's some update of my fangirling life last weekend. :D

I've been a David Cook-Carrie Underwood *courtesy of Cookistas over at PEx* long before the Cook-Caldwell break-up. So when it was confirmed that David Cook will sing with Carrie Underwood, I was overly excited. And watching their duet of Go Your Own Way was a pure bliss. :) They look and sounded good together. They're so damn HOT.

There were lots of past Idols present at the American Idol Experience. Two dozen bunch, I guess. Season 7 had the most number of Idols in the event, which is why David Archuleta said days before the event that this is some sort of a reunion for them.

But only two Idols performed on stage. David Cook performed first. He sang an acoustic version of Light On with the EEB. Then he introduced Carrie Underwood and went backstage. Carrie Underwood sang All American Girl. And after that, she sang Go Your Own Way and after the first chorus, she introduced David Cook back on the stage. :)

Only the two of them performed, and I really wonder why is that so. I am thinking that maybe they're pimping Cook to be the next Superstar Idol. :D And maybe Simon Fuller is fueling something grandiose for both Cook and Underwood? A duet with a Country feel with be nice. :)

Anyway, this picture really made me smile. :) It is a priceless one. And only Mickey Mouse can do it!

And this is David Cook's new girlfriend. :D

I say, either Carrie Underwood or Minnie Mouse would be fine for him. :D

Oh yes, yes. I was able to watch them live at SM North The Block last Saturday. And it was pure luck that I was able to score a seat in the first row. Yaaay! :)

Oh, it seems like we're surrounded. And we kinda like it.
-Alejandro Manzano

The crowd's reception was awesome. There were a looot people who came to watch, which I honestly didn't expect. And the people who were able to enter have to buy a CD. And the rule is: One CD per stub. That's why I watched it all alone. :| But I was able to meet two girls there who were so nice. :)

The boys were so sweet. Each gave away a bear to the fans. Actually, they threw it up it the air, haha! But the bears were sooo cute, especially Daniel's since it was blue and pink. And each were holding a rose when they entered for the encore. And again, they gave it away to fans but this time, they didn't throw it. :D

And wow, they sounded so good. Their set was almost an hour, I guess. They sang some of their popular cover songs and some of their originals too. And the crowd sang along with them. Alejandro kept on saying that the crowd have an amazing voice.

Here is their set list. But don't quote me on this since I can't really remember the whole set list. I'm pretty sure with songs but not with their order. Oh wait, now I'm not sure with the songs too. Not with the original songs anyway. :D

*Not much Boyce Avenue pictures in here because I'm kinda lazy. Hahaha!*

Last Saturday, I finally got my copy of Yamada Tarou Monogatari and Dragon Zakura. Thanks to my dear friend who burned a copy for me. Yaaay! And I asked my sister to buy Japanese dramas since she's gone on a date. Haha! I gave her a list of dramas I want and she got me a copy of Gokusen 2 and 3. :) With all these dramas, I wouldn't mind torrent being so slow. Not right now anyway.

So yesterday, I spent it by watching Yamada Tarou Monogatari. And yes, I finished it in one sitting. :) It's a wonderful drama and Ninomiya Kazunari did a great, great job. I'll be reviewing it in full when I got the time (translation: when I'm not feeling lazy).

And after watching Yamada Tarou Monogatari, I watched the first two episodes of Uta no Oniisan. Satoshi Ohno is sooo cute. :D But I somehow feel sad for his character. No, I really feel sad for his character. And the bad thing is, I can't seem to finish downloading the third episode because apparently, there are no seeds as of the moment. :|

I'm also done downloading the first 16 episodes of D no Arashi. Yes, I'm planning to complete the variety show. There are 116 episodes so that means I'm 1/10 done with my goal. I'm getting there, I'm getting there. :)

And speaking of download, the memory available here in our computer is exponentially diminishing. And it's all because of me and my downloads. So right now, I'm really contemplating on whether to buy an external drive or just burn my downloads. Hmmm...
