2) If you were born outside of your era, when would you want to be born? Substitute me for Georgiana Darcy anyday! That is, born into privelage in the 1800s, where I am left to my own devices to read and learn and play music and sing all day, entertain my friends, and wear pretty dresses to court handsome young men ;-)
3) If you ran a store, what would you sell/have? beautiful hand-made chocolates.
4) What part in a movie would you love to play? basically anything Anna Paquin has done. esp. "Amy" in "Fly Away Home" (have a guess why that character had an attraction at an early age); "Mackenzie" in "She's All That"; and "Rogue" in X-Men.
5) In your opinion, why do people suck? Because they are too pessimistic, too judgemental, too aloof; ignorant, and/or uncaring about the world's problems, too self-absorbed, and everybody seems to have forgotten how to forgive! (it's all about grace, people, it's all about grace.)
6) If you had your own state, what would you put on your new quarter? quarter? uhh... pass?
7) What's the oldest article of clothing you own? umm... well, I've still got my uniform from one of my primary-schools in Sydney, so that's from year 4...
8) What piece of furniture have you replaced the most? probably pillows. I don't like flat pillows.
9) What instrument do you wish you could be more than great at? ohh! let me count them! I'd love to be able to play the piano, guitar, violin, drums/bongo/congos, plus I'd like to be able to sing better, and know how to harmonise.
10) Record, tape or CD? CD, that way you can skip the ones you don't like... although, I like tapes too.
11) What do you think would be the best concert ever? probably Fleetwood Mac, or Hunters and Collectors.
12) What is the best part of your favorite movie? OH! So many parts of Pride and Prejudice make me squeal with delight! Particularly the parts with Mr Darcy... and Lizzie... or, or... with Mrs Bennet... and Mr Bennet... and Mr Wickham! Oh, and I can't forget Lydia... oh, and Caroline Bingley... oh, and Lady Catherine de Bourgh... Oh! and Georgiana!!! ;-)
13) What do you think is the most over-rated candy ever? Licorice allsorts... and musk sticks.
14) If you were writing out your will, who would you give your CD collection to? Probably Annika... she seems to like the same things as me.
15) If you could only debate two topics the rest of your life, what would they be? Literature, and its qualities (which, of course, would require me to spend great quantities of time immersed in books); and either religion or the future of the environment and what we need to do to protect it.
16) Out of your friends, who would you say you are most jealous of, artistically? I'm not sure. Isaac has a lot of flair, which I love, and he's always drawing... I love his dedication. But I don't really want to draw in that style, like he does. But he definitely has a lot more talent than me.
17) Most jealous of... intellectually? Kate and Desiree and Chels and Kell all work really hard! And I admire that so much! I wish I could have their natural intelligence, but also their drive and commitment.
18) What do you collect? What don't I collect? Over the years I have collected rocks, stamps, sticks (true), pieces of paper, pictures of troll-dolls cut-out from magazines (because I wasn't allowed to have one because they're evil) (go figure), books, teddy bears, shoes, shells, feathers, ribbons, cassettes, paper-clips, calendars, little porcelain figurines, wallets...
19) What is broken that you have, that you wish was fixed? literal: can't think of anything... so, semi-abstract: my routine - I need to get into a habit of doing real study, for serious amounts of time - no more of this 20-minute stuff... and, figurative: my relo with Elle. cos it really sucks at the moment. and I'm really sick of it. and it's making me sad, cos it's such a big thing, and she won't even bring it up with me, and I'm sure it's constantly weighing down on James, and I don't know how long he is (or I am) going to cope with it.
20) What do you do when you're home sick? Lie on the rocker with my dooner or blankie and sleep and watch Amelie. (you wouldnt believe how many times I've seen that film!) :-P
