Life has been mediocre for the past week. I just finished summer school (English seems to be the only class that I can ace without trying too hard. Psychology was stressful and gross) and now am "training" for college auditions. Senior year is not looking so good for me. I'm worried that I won't be able to handle the practicing, doing homework, and ( Read more... )

Aren't I!? It's very strange...I don't completely understand myself at times. I think this is all due to the fact that my parents have been a bit lenient about things like hanging out with friends for a little while. I've gotten a taste of what it's like to have a social life and have found that, while fooling around and doing nothing is pretty fun, it's not worth giving up 5 or 6 hours of practicing piano and improving myself ( ... )

That's totally cool, man. A lot of people are the indoorsy type (you and me and probably about three-quarters of Livejournal included) and if you're happy with that, there's nothing wrong with that at all. The Internet's not a bad place to get lost in, what with fanfiction and free music and social networking. It's not a bad idea to go outside every once in a while though, go for a walk or something.

I'll call you if I want to do something. But you should remember: college is not the most important thing in the world. Loads of people have become 'successful' without going to or graduating college. Personally, I feel the most important part of higher education would be the education, rather than the degree, which is what a lot of people focus on ( ... )

I agree that college is not the most important thing. But you must know that the higher education you speak of comes from experienced and knowledgeable teachers...and those teachers are usually found in good colleges. So what can a girl do but try to get into one of those?

Relationships in high school exist because most kids would be too bored and lonely with their lives if they weren't in one. What's with all this fear of loneliness? Everyone seems to have it except me.

I've found ways to get most of the movies and music I want. You don't have to bother sending me things, anymore...they probably take a lot of time to upload or something. If you have time to kill, we can talk some more!

Yeah, that sounds about right. I don't know, I guess you've figured out a way to not be insecure about yourself, which is why you aren't afraid of being alone? I don't know.
