There is no free will if everything is written down black and white, and we will be like robots going about fixed commands. We are humans who through free will choose our own route. We may enjoy happiness not following on the destined path but probably not true happiness. True happiness occurs when we deviate and finally come back to Him again because he is all-forgiving. Without saddness, there's no joy.

And I think feeling happier in times of happiness for me comes about knowing that there's a God up there whose blessing me all these wonderful things.

Ahh and how was church for your mum?

I think it's not surprising that you would worry about your future. The only people who gets frantic over all these issues are those who truly care about living their lives to the fullest. It is because you care, therefore you worry. What's more pressurizing is the rigid fact that the society measures success through its own cruel barometers - education, money, status.

But what's more important is being aware that true failure is determined by God and not by Man. How we fare against society's standards are not important to Him. We should be measuring our success as a person against God's standards.

Fret not, my dear! (:
