It really is hard to wrap your brain around, doing something like that to a child. Sorry I wasn't around yesterday. My laptop gave me a black screen when I tried to switch it on. I may disappear until after New year's, if it fails me completely.

Wow. I cannot imagine how someone gets to the point where they can do this to another person - an innocent child...THEIR own child; but I thought that you captured it very well. It made me so sad for these two children and captivated me at the end.

I also liked your tie-in at the end with why you chose to go down this path.

Great job!

I can never understand it either, and I honestly think people that do things like this are irredeemable.

Thanks so much for reading and commenting.

You write beautifully. Those were such sad stories, and I'm so glad to read that they were fictional for you. I also liked your end-note, it was perfect to show -why- you'd written those stories; why the prompt had made your mind go to them instead of to some other type of heinous behavior.

Thank you so much, and im very glad you liked it as I was worried it was too depressing a piece.

Sad yes, but still wonderfully written so it's the -good- kind of depressing read <3

So terribly sad. I don't understand how anyone could ever harm a child...I agree that those people are beyond salvation in many cases. My entry is about my sister's ex who was a terrible man and hurting his kids was a part of his daily life. It breaks my heart to think of kids feeling pain like that...

No, me neither, it has always been a source of pain and confusion for me and yes totally beyond salvation :( it really does break your heart that people can hit kids like that.
