I DO understand. They are NEVER just pets. Your tribute to Shadow will remain in my memory and I shall revisit it when the time comes for me again. Hopefully NOT soon. I've already lost Lulou and Tisha this year.

Definitely not my intention - it was just a moment of tribute. Our Shadow was hit by a car - thankfully she didn't suffer. She had such a beautiful nature, and a wanderlust we couldn't curb. We moved to acres so we didn't have to suffer this - but the road has become far more busy in the years since we've been here.

I know you understand just how much pain such events cause. We're all devastated and somewhat fragile.

I don't even have to imagine, I certainly do know and understand. The tribute you posted is beautiful and I'm going to save it in my 'memories' here at LiveJournal.

Thank you, Min - you know how impossibly deep these little ones burrow into your life - their absence leaves such a huge hole.
