Why? Oh the Humanity!

Me and computers really don't get along. After spilling lemonade on my last laptop I finally broke it by dropping it. From about 5 feet in the air. And no, not on purpose ( Read more... )

*pet* I'm so sorry hon. I feel like curling into a ball and shaking if I can't get comp access when I want...Lord knows how I survived last year.

I hope your laptop works alright on Monday. In my opinion, they should be spill/splash proof...I bet tons of people spill tea/coffee/[insert beverage of choice here] on their keyboards.

Will keep my toes and fingers crossed for you, in the hope that the damage won't be too severe.

I know, I really don't know how I survived all weekend!

You know they actually do make spill-resistant lap tops! I think I should have bought one of those!

Oh shit, that sucks. I hope it'll work fine. Sometimes they can be tough little buggers.

And I know what you mean about being without a computer. But at least you got a week without a new CSI ep...

I'll keep my fingers crossed for you!

Thanks :) Yeah, Í was lucky it wasn't a new ep this Friday, I think I would have hijacked my friends comp for the d/l!

:( oh no...I'm so sorry.

Why don't they make those cheesy thin rubber keyboard protectors and integrated feature on laptops, heck - it wouldn't even be visible? Yeah, maybe a bit hot for it, but damn; they deal with heat through the vents you know. Tea...not so much...

Best of luck:) *imagining Myshka's laptop in the dry Nevada desert*

You know when I was in the city on Saturday I saw an ad for a laptop that was actually spill resistant. I so should have bought one of those!

Thanks :)

So sorry. :(

I lost my laptop in a liquid-accident. A pipe broke in the ceiling right above my desk in the lab, and water came pouring down on my desk. On my laptop. In the middle of the night, of course, when I wasn't there to do anything. I was told the same thing, to let it dry out for several days. It never came back on. :(

That's terrible, it must have completely drowned. I managed to drain mine pretty quickly, so I'm hoping for the best.
