Proud of the Girl Scouts

As I may have mentioned before, both of my daughters have been involved in Girl Scouts, but I refused to allow my son to join the Boy Scouts. He asked to join once, but I had to refuse due the anti-gay membership policy of the Boy Scouts of the USA. My kids were scouts until my son felt compelled to quit after the anti gay incident prompted by the Mormon Church. My daughter ran an group for the girl scouts which consisted of 150 differently abled girls

Yes! Buy Girl Scout cookies. I was a Girl Scout and I always found it to be an empowering, all-girl community. Women leaders, girls camping, etc. Glad to see they're still about empowering girls.

The leader of my daughter's troop does training/ team building/ motivational speaking for a living, so she's ALL about activities that foster empowerment, cooperation, and creativity.
