anyone in reading of my friends list do metal work?   At freedom park today, amongst the scooter riding and the rock hunting, Grant found a small piece of china that had been battered by the stream that has a clover on it.  I would love to find someone who coule perhaps edge it in metal and attach a necklace loop to it.    Anyone?    Mama wants to ( Read more... )

I can wire wrap it....right now I have sterling wire; if you want it in gold, I'd have to order it. I have a ton of polymer clay if you want to go that route, too..... ;)

I'm looking to create a stable edge for it and a hang loop. I suspect that wire wrapping would take away from the design, metal or polymer would work I think though

Depends on how it's wrapped....with things that have designs on them, I try to keep the wire as close to the edge as possible.
You could probably buy the metal "tape" that stained glass artists use and wrap the edges that way - that stuff is made to handle soldering; so you could put a bail on it, too. I can look around and see if anyone near me carries it....
