I am so sorry. When I was 8 a tom cat we looked after came home to die. I was upset and begged da to make him better. I hated learning that lesson that everything has it's time.

I hope your son takes it okay and I hope the you also are ok.

That's one of the reasons I won't get a bird...They live such short lives...But I like them.
