Rainy days

Today. Horrible.

Got a call from the nurse, 7:30 am. "You should come now. Your mother is talking about going to be with Sam."

(for those of you who don't know, Sam is my brother who passed away.)Got up, showered, went. Got there, she was completely delusional, screaming, trying to talk despite the rattle in her chest. She said some awful things ( Read more... )

Wow Brennas.. I am balling here.. I went through the EXACT same thing with my mother.. the "dilusional" state, the screaming fits, her saying she was going to be with someone that had already passed.. I know how hard it is and I know what you are going through.. how you are feeling, everything.. You seem to have a little more of a support group than I had.. I was 16, pregnant, and basically doing most of it on my own.. Wow.. I'm so sorry you are going through all of this.. If you need ANYTHING.. even just an ear or something, please call me.. I can help a little.

I miss you tons.. I'm thinking of you all and praying for you.

I walked away from religion a long time ago but I will pray to anyone that will listen if it makes things better by any measure for you. Please take care of yourself.

Boy does that bring back some not-so-great memories. Just know this...you'll get through it, and it will take a while. Remember that as important as it is to be strong for your family, you need to take care of yourself too. Hope this helps.
