The Dark Knight

just got home from seeing the new Batman movie (in case you can't tell from the subject of this post) and OMG it was awesome.  I think I'm a little speechless from the level of acting in this movie.  Heath Ledger was mind-blowingly psychotic as the Joker.  It is truly a sad thing that he is no longer around, but I can see how the character and the ( Read more... )

see, I agree with you about the Joker... but everyone at my work seems to think that he should have been like the Joker from the tv series... I tried explaining to them that the Joker was insane, and that the tv series batman is nothing like any other batman out there, but they refused to listed... gods, I'm surrounded by dumb people, though I should be used to it by now, considering that these are the same people who asked me why people choose to be gay *repeated internet headdesk*

*nods* totally ... I was watching some of the older movies with George Clooney and previous Batman's in them, and they were so much more comical, made you laugh out loud, and I will be the first to admit that I haven't read that much of the comics, but what I've seen has always seemed so much darker, and I'm glad that they're finally taking a more serious look at them and redoing the movies. And yea, there were some laugh out loud moments during the Dark Knight (OMG the magic trick was OSM), but that was just cause I am that sick and twisted. It's a much more serious, dark approach that, I believe, was the original intent of the comics. If you haven't seen it yet, maybe Wed when you hang with Sarah, though we're going to see it this afternoon. Another repeat movie like Hellboy, though, I don't think I'll see as many times as Hellboy, and I don't think I'll see either one too many more times. *sigh* stupid people are stoopid.
