Ok friends, if you didn't know already Sen. McCain has chosen Sarah Palin, Governor of Alaska, as his running mate in the upcoming elections. Here are some fast facts on Ms. Palin:

Has been governor of Alaska for a year and a half.
Her previous experience included being mayor of a town with a population of under 9,000.

I agree with your stance, though I have to say, that I would not vote for her. Not just because of my obviously liberal leaning, but also because of her lack of experience, pro-life stance, and opposition to equal pay (which at least makes her interesting, considering she's got a vagina and all).

Well yes, I'm not going to vote for her either. I don't support her as a vice presidential candidate, but I don't think people should be making offensive groups treating her as a sexual object.

And you're right. It's incredibly sexist. They're focusing on her sexual appeal rather than her qualities as a political candidate, which doesn't do anyone any good.

Right now, I am in a Facebook group called "Writing Papers Single Spaced First Makes My Double Spaced Result Climactic" and it has 121,115 members. This is not because people seriously believe that there is something important. It just so happens that over 120,000 people saw the community, thought it was funny, and hit the button to join. Most of them, like myself, have probably not even looked at anything in the community since joining it ( ... )

It may not be right (I agree, it isn't), but if you want to fight sexism, the internet is possibly the worst place in the universe to start.
