First of all, I want to send my condolences to David and his family for the loss of Eunice McCullough who died on her 97th birthday. I can only hope to live as long as she did and as independent.

A very interesting V Day indeed

David mentioned today how he was going through my livejournal entries out of boredom, which prompted me to do the same. I have to say that it was so weird reading about my own past. In just a little over a week, I will be 26. So this journal entry about a chunk of my history is only fitting.

New kitty for the New Year!
David and I were approved to adopt Victoria on New Year's Eve. We are going to change her name to something shorter though, so she can actually know her name eventually. We were thinking of the following names:

Puma

I love my job
Despite things like I have to take on more projects than I can chew and I don't get paid nearly enough, it's days like these that make me realize just how much I love my job.

I'm a winner!
That's write. Yours truly succeeded in writing 50,000 words for a novel in one month! Now all that's left is to finish writing it, editing it and everything else that needs to be done before I even think of trying to get it published.
And now I can finally have a life again!

My book is coming along nicely. I'm sitting at 38k and still rocking. Time is becoming a factor, but it is still definitely doable. Even if by some slim chance I don't reach 50k by the end, do I really want to toss the words I did write to the sidelines? Hells no. I'm going to ride it out to the very end.
