As the clear leader of the more chaotic faction of the "couterculture," I can see where he was coming from. However, chaotic weirdness also defines current affairs in Washington, as well as much of current culture. I do think there might have been a bit more to the Revolution back then. I also think drugs had a lot to its very short duration (about four years), and again, again Jerry kinda led that faction as well.
