Miranda didn't want anything to do with a sippy until she was around 11 months old and that was just because i got the cheap walmart nuby sippies with the nipple like spout.
I suggest you change sippies. Offer them all the time.. That's all you can really do. miranda wouldn't take anything but the nuby ones for a long time. she's now taking the take n toss ones.
Miranda was holding her own bottle at 5-6 months. and sorry but miranda was also sleeping thru the night at 3 weeks old.. and hasn't stopped. I guess something might be the matter. Ear infections, teething pain? I wouldn't tie him down with a sheet.. it's not going to make him happy. lol I would make an appt. It seems really weird that all of a sudden he's not sleeping though the night anymore. just to make sure it's not pain that is causing the constant wake ups. :)
Thanks for replying, i have made an appointment with my doctor, and my health nurse, I stopped tieing him down it hasnt made a difference, but he slept all the way thru last night, but he was rocked to sleep at like 11:30 cuase i gave up... he will go down durning the day, but at night he wont do it on his own... I changed bottles now, he has a few different ones now, it took him a couple of times to like it but he seems to like thenm now, so i will try a new sippy cup i have 2 types one that he has to suck to get the juice out and the other one just flows out... he thinks all his feeding things are toys!!! so he just bashes them more than wanting to drink from them!!! Im going to see if i can get those nuby ones your talking about, we have take and toss ones here, so im sure we will have these nuby ones too(me being in australia and all)
I hope you can fund the Nuby sippies. If not i would think any soft spout ones would do. Miranda wouldn't take the normal ones only the soft spout basically like a bottle ones. lol
1. Are you using sippy cups with valves? Hunter had a huuuge problem with that as he could never figure out how to suck hard enough to get anything out. So he'd tip it back for 0.4 of a second and when nothing came out he'd get frustrated and throw it away. You can try removing the plastic valves under the lids at first until he gets the hang of it. We had awesome luck with the Playtex "First Sipster" because of it's large widely-spaced handles. I really recommend it
