There was no mention of salary in the job description, so I've no idea what sort of scale they're thinking of. Still, atm my personal income is zero, so anything would be an improvement!

It was entirely unexpected and welcome opportunity! Of course I went home and had a crisis of confidence in the middle of the night about my jewellery being too crap to sell, but in the light of day making saleable stuff seems a more realistic possibility :)

Good luck with the job + it's nice that guy was able to help you with advice about the jewellery. There's quite a few little art galleries + gift shops + stuff near where you are so hopefully you should be able to find some outlets.

It was unexpectedly helpful of him - it hadn't even occurred to me to ask about selling opportunities! There are probably quite a few places I might consider approaching once I've built up some stock. It was quite a confidence-building conversation!

We'll see how it goes. It would be nice to earn some money again, I feel a bit guilty for living off my husband for so long!

It certainly gave me a lot to think about in terms of selling the jewellery - very encouraging!
