You're welcome to your opinion. I disagree. And I'm sorry it ever had to be that way.

Some days I wish I had never become a fan of this show because it's been so painful to have to manage the slings and arrows of criticism and hate... but then I remember how much joy it's brought me, how much inspiration, and how much of a feeling of community, even though that was kind of an illusion (isn't every feeling of community, in the end?), and I can not regret. Heroes changed my life, mostly for the better, and I can't reject that, no matter what other people say. It's lonely and hard, but it's the only way to be.

See, there's another difference of opinion. No matter how much I hear people ragging on the show, I am unapologetic in my devotion. Yeah, it had some crappy episodes. So does every show. Sure, some of the plot lines were shit. Again, every show has those.

Overall, though, it was awesome. I think, in the future, Heroes will be seen as a trailblazing series. It made me happy. The reason I'm not torn up is because I think the writers would have made decisions that would have made me MISERABLE if they'd been given another season.

I'm going to miss my Heroes but at least I'll always have my DVD's and really great fanfic (yours included) to look back on fondly.
