I'm sorry about the martyr in me coming out. I spent 3 hours on Sunday, being the paretn in Steve's house. Not only did I have to unload the dishwasher, but I also had to clean the bathroom and make sure that David got to work. It's just not fair. And I say things that are much more eggagerated thought when I've had a day like that.
But of course, she walks in and instead of saying thank you she says, "You didn't have to clean Rissy, I wouldn't have."In my family, if you ask why somebody did something, when it's pretty eveident why, (such as having guests over, and wanting to tidy up for them) then it deserves a response like, "You could say thank you...I you really appreciate it." But I've come to accept that not many people think about that. Even I forget to say thank you when, for example, your mother cleans up the house, so that everyone can feel welcome. I don't really mind if Colleen or if anyone notices. Steve doesn't always notice what I do for him, and my dad rarely says thanks when I clean up his messes. It's ok, because
