I purchased this book the other day 'Love and Misadventure' by lang leav, because I saw two drawn pictures that caught my eye and I really liked the front cover. I ordered it from online so when I got it I thought it a shame that the picture I liked was across the spine of the book, I felt that a shame really. I also thought there would be more

Its a cute book, just took me time to appreciate it better :-)

That link looks interesting and I will take a proper look at it over the next few days. I liked already seeing poems being turned into shapes like the eye I saw there and much more. So thank you looks good! :-) Il try the flying even if I bounce a bit along the way lol

What I also like on that site is that you can create new poems with words from existing poems. Its much playing around with words which can be fun.

The pictures are pretty, I like that whimsical style of drawing too.

It's funny, I probably write more poetry than I read! Although I do find the occasional one that I like.

I think your idea of producing a book is really nice. I will sign up for a copy! Now you just need to find an artist friend :D

This book was going to be an idea for one of your future gifts to be honest! lol though not now because ive already said it lol. Because I felt the pictures were you obviously :-) but I thought there would be more but wasn't. Then I wasn't sure if reading words like that would be your thing *poetry isn't exactly my thing but I like words that rhyme, or tell a tiny story' so this one fitted enough. Then there is never knowing if a friend already has a certain book, the one I got you years ago I was quite confident you wouldn't have it but never sure on other books. So now you know! haha
It was a contemplation for you .. lol

Yeah my friend who can draw well would be my first choice but she doesn't feel confident enough I don't think so I need to search for someone to make my words look good!! lol

Self publishing something is on my mental list of goals as well and I think a lovely idea, even if just as a keepsake and something to give as friends for gifts. Beyond rhyming poems for fun, I'm not good with poetry but it's definitely a nice idea to try and come up with something you can get published. Helley works classifying books that are published so one day you may appear on her system like Simon did when he's published his books LOL. I think you draw well and I would suggest not bothering with an artist and do the sketches yourself. That way, you can enjoy it and know it was all *very you* all the way and a nice accomplishment for you.

What does that mean.. classifying books that are published? you mean like a rating of the age of the reader like dvds? lol

What would you like to have in your own book?

haha I definitely wouldn't use my own drawings I really don't think they are good enough at all lol. Sometimes they are quite good but not good enough for a book In my view lol but thanks for thinking I draw well-ish! lol

with the poems I have done already I do somewhat see the images of what I want with them and I think they are too advanced for what I can personally do lol like I couldn't draw a flower with a sad human face picking out her own petals, or climbing out of her own skin etc. I see images but theirs no way I could draw them myself lol.
I think someone who is good at art would help my book be wanted LOL
but I do feel it a nice compliment really that some friends have seen my doodles and think they would be fine.

The thing is I cant muster up the words they only come when I feel something and that happens sometimes when im affected by something or someone. So I guess I kind of have to be affected a few more times to fill this book lol
