Next to Normal?

So my friend Jay and his boyfriend saw the new musical Next to Normal and he was doing nothing but rave about it all day. As a huge theatre buff, I was naturally curious as to what this musical is actually about. When I asked him, he replied: "It's a musical about a woman and her family and she's suffering from Bipolar Disorder

Hmm...that is a difficult question, whether to go...certainly your reaction would not be the same as that of someone who has no personal experience with bipolar disorder...hard to predict, it could be catharctic or as you say, it might actually make you feel worse.

For what it's worth, when my husband and I went to see The Light in the Piazza, he enjoyed it and I didn't enjoy it much, as I have a close relative who is rather like the main character in that musical.

As to your other question, why something that happened three years ago is coming back to plague you--nobody knows; human mind is a strange thing...
