As soon as I expected to grow used to these awakenings, they grow worse. Give me loud noises or a shaking bed, anything but that sudden invasion...ugh.This hallway coming off the parlor appears to lead nowhere, which is strange but not unexplainable. However, the room does not appear to have been intended for storage, judging by the presence of ( Read more... )

...Perhaps things were kept within it... and the neighbors were not meant to know. Though that does not explain the lack of such windows outside.

No, it appears to have been treated as a normal room. Judging by the pattern of the paint, here must have been paintings or hangings over some parts of the wall.

There are windows outside, but they appear to be peering into a different room altogether. It is as if they look straight through the room and are showing me the parlor.

...Well of course there are windows outside, but I meant in that room in particular. The windows may see out, but they can not be seen from outside. There is a disproportionate number of windows indoors and out.

Perhaps I was not clear enough. My apologies.

What have you noticed about it? I confess I conducted only a brief investigation of the interior, finding its very presence suspicious.

I admit, I didn't walk very far in. That door could just close again, after all, and I am not inclined to trust the doors in this place.

All I saw was some discoloration on the wallpapering and a very long hall.

I confess I was worried about the door as well. Perhaps the both of us could investigate it, one of us taking care of the door and the other one looking for passages in the walls and the like.
