No more than the usual disturbances, although I cannot help but suspect I will be targeted soon enough. The spirits have thus far seen fit to divide their attentions among as many of us as possible.

Not since then. The knife I acquired from the kitchen is, perhaps, enough to scare her off, though I suppose we shall see in the coming days.

I suppose. I plan to take similar steps for my own security. Other spirits may be less timid than she is.

Regarding my public enquiries, have you come to any conclusions about the "party guests"? I know what they are doing, but not if there is any deeper meaning.

I suppose the ghost doesn't discriminate much, so long as it perceives some sort of weakness. In any case, I would be perfectly happy to accompany you to buy a firearm, my boy!

No actual harm has come to me, but thank you for your concern.

And thank you again. Sending someone else to do it would be as if I sent him to have my measure taken for clothing: I have enough experience to know what suits my needs. However, I will likely seem trustworthy if I am with you.

I understand how that is. A weapon just doesn't feel right unless you've chosen it for yourself. And yes; it's highly doubtful that anyone would sell a gun to a young man like yourself, regardless of how responsibly you'd use it.
