I donno how ppl are hating on Children of Mana (DS) This game is a PERFECT compliment to the Mana Series! The music is great, the artwork is great, the characters are all cool, you even get to play as a big fat Nicolo for a change! AND Its multiplayer! People actually complained about it being a dungeon crawler but thats pretty much what the ( Read more... )

Okay, that sounds downright pleasant >.> Maybe I should give that a look... (I love that world so much, but every time a new game comes out, everyone just blasts it...)

Yeah so far im REALLY enjoying it, and i've haaaaated so many of the previous installments to the "World of Mana" series as they're apparently calling it. This game reaaaaaaaaally feels like the classic style for the first time in how many years @_@

I love Secret of Mana. So I guess I'm gonna see what I can do about getting Children of Mana. Thanks for the heads up!

The only Mana I've played was Legend of Mana, and I loved it. The art work was amazing, the style of game play rocked and the storyline, while broken in parts was still quite enjoyable. I'm gonna have to check this one out.....aaass soon as I get a DS >_>;

ZOMG you didnt play the SNES one!? Its such a solid game, tho pretty old style by todays standards, i couldnt get into Legend of Mana (despite the fact i still own it) I loved the artwork and animation but i hated everything else about it. The fact that everything stops then you go into fight mode, the superfluous monster raising thing, the unnecessary farming thing, the REALLY unnecessary thing with fusing musical instruments, and that whole disjointed map thing where you have to put odd items around a map to continue the story. I didnt learn till later that you have to put em all in specific places to actually get the whole story, as well as find the rest of teh characters, i played the game twice and ended up going to the final boss with no conclusions to any of the little stories more so i never got to see all the characters D ( ... )

Haha! Okay, I'll have to check those two out.

Back when I played it, I didn't mind the extra stuff that went with the game play all to much, if for any reason it gave me new, and pretty damn flashy moves to play around with. Plus I think there were combos you could do with the other characters in your party. The two player aspect of the game was pretty fun too from time to time. But I also didn't finish the game. Been meaning to.

Damn.... probably gonna have to get a DS sooner or later.
