"You saved me."
Even with the blare of alarms, her snark was crystal clear."Clearly. Do you think you could help with the getaway now, Archer? There is a lot of you and a little of me." Her eyes darted around the large room that served as his prison.
"Oh right."With the swish of a blade, he was freed from the constraint of the jacket. A sigh turned into a grin. "That's much better."
She paused her survey to look at him "I'm sure that was the longest you have gone without taking your shirt off." With the pat to his chest, she silenced his protests. They had better things to deal with, namely escaping in one piece. In the last two minutes, he relived every reason why he loved her.
A sequence of flurried steps, hushed breaths and carefully aimed shots allowed for a quick if not hasty escape to the waiting transportation.
Safely tucked away in the depths of the helicopter, there was finally a moment to themselves. There was no doubt in her mind that he would have questions and justifiably an amount of anger to address. She waited for the verbal explosion but there was only silence from him. She turned to see him studying her. "Ollie, are you alright?"
He stared at her, scanning her from the tip of her boots to the leather getup. She looked like an extra from The Matrix. His first words were not what she expected but when were they ever predictable?
"What's with the outfit?" a look of disbelief crossed her face. He retracted the statement quickly. "I'm not saying it's bad. I'm just saying….. it could be better. You know you can see your blond head for miles away." His rambling was cut off with a kiss.
As they broke for air, his hands just naturally curled into her hair. "I'm just saying in my expert opinion, a hood would solve this problem. My tailor is just a call away."
"Looking for another sidekick?"
"Actually I have been waiting for a partner my whole life."
There was no answer but a sweet kiss and a promise in her eyes.
A/N: Hopefully I didn't offend anyone. This turned out different than I thought it would. The summary almost doesn't summarize it anymore. I started writing and the dialogue just kinda followed. I can't vouch for how realistic this is especially since Ollie doesn't talk to Chloe about where she has been. But I wanted to capture more of the porch scene in Escape than the angst of season 10. And yea I couldn't resist the reference to the Matrix after all this spoiler talk. Read and Review!
