~Rotorua Trip: Saturday~
Rainbow Springs
So here we are at Rainbow Springs. It's funny how we mistook it as a hot spring initially when it was actually a little zoo! The zoo houses some of NZ's own animals. It's smaller than a typical zoo but still nice to have a look around.
Peiyu, Xinyu and me in front of the sign!
The main highlight of the zoo: The kiwi bird! For your information, there are three "kiwi" meanings in NZ. It can refer to the fruit, the locals here and lastly the bird! This kiwi bird is being kept in a nocturnal area. The kiwi birds here are under protection.
It's hard to see but spot the round, furry shape in the middle.
A girl feeding the rabbits!
Colourful bird
Busy eating! Love their bright, yellow feathers!
The donkey is so adorable! And I think it's really used to the visitors here.
Donkey's buddy: The wild pig!
Haha. They are cute, aren't they?
Bahhhh we are not on talking terms!
The Wallaby!
Hail the Majestic Moa Bird. Anyway, this is just a statue erected in its memory. It was extinct hundreds of years ago. Still, can't imagine meeting such a huge bird if it's still alive.
Next up: Agrodome!
