On Episode 6

Ok, this episode didn't quite have the ring to it like the preview made it out to be. I liked last week's episode better on many more levels. This episode felt more like a filler that's poorly edited.

-Robert/Jane: I am intrigued by this relationship and I hope we can get more insight into both Robert and Jane in the next few episodes. I want to ( Read more... )

I wasn't happy with this episode at all for the most part. Though I did like a few scenes. I am glad Vera is dead as I was not looking forward to seeing her again but not exactly happy with the way they did it ( ... )

Even my sense of imagination has its limits. And seeing Matthew's denial and apathy makes me question what I've been imagining/thinking all along about M/M. Is he sleeping beauty of what? Seriously, this is pissing me off.

Yeah, it's stupid for a sane person to even LIKE the Carlisle character. All we've seen his how evil he is.

While I don't want to ruin Robert/Cora, I do like the prospect of more drama for them. I want Robert to realize the error of his ways, and I want Cora to find her ground and sense of worth. I think their relationship will be better for it.

I don't care about Edith much, really. I just wish she didn't take so much screen time.

"seeing Matthew's denial and apathy makes me question what I've been imagining/thinking all along about M/M. Is he sleeping beauty of what? Seriously, this is pissing me off." Word.

My anger is directed at Julian Fellowes. My only way of coping is to not think about it too closely because it's like the Matrix - once you take the (can't remember which colour) pill you can't go back.

There was so much talk about whether Mary deserved Matthew but I'm starting to wonder if it's the reverse. How can he not see. If I hadn't seen the preview for episode 7 I wouldn't be so annoyed, but from the preview I have a feeling that Lavinia and Matthew are announcing a date for their wedding. I don't think that's when/where he announces his miraculous recovery. I think Mary will get seriously angry about it. And I don't blame her.

Julian Fellowes is one confused man. In one way I like how he's written the female characters, but on the other hand, he's also given them so much crap to deal with, like the men in their lives. I just feel so bad and so sad for Mary because she definitely deserves so much more. Matthew is a poor prize, if he ever comes back to her, that is. And you know, I liked Matthew more in S1 when he was nice boy next door. Now he's becoming a sour grandpa.

I think it would be odd for M/L to announce a wedding. Especially if Violet tells Matthew about Mary, then how could Matthew go on with the wedding announcement? Surely, he must be given some time to think!!?? He can't just say, "Gee thanks Vi, but I am gonna hump Lavinia. Sayonara" Oh will he?

And Violet would NOT tell Matthew AFTER the wedding was announced, by then it would be too late. So this is what gives me a sliver of hope.

Whatever that means.

Maybe I'm in the minority, but I'm not seeing a thing wrong with Robert/Jane. Robert is a bit at sea, and Jane is really nice. Do I think he'd ever cheat on Cora? No. And I don't think Jane has designs on him -- it'd be kind of funny if he thought she did and she's all "Um...no." IDK, at least it's AT DA, which makes it at least slightly more tolerable than other storylines I could mention (COUGH, ETHEL ( ... )

You give me hope about Robert/Cora. I don't really want Robert to cheat...but I am ok with him coming close :P Yeah, I don't get why he can't see the contrast between Mary NURSING him and Lavinia being absent in his recovery :S Even poor Mr. Pamuk doesn't stand a chance with Carlisle, it seems.
