Ok, this episode didn't quite have the ring to it like the preview made it out to be. I liked last week's episode better on many more levels. This episode felt more like a filler that's poorly edited.

Yeah, it's stupid for a sane person to even LIKE the Carlisle character. All we've seen his how evil he is.
While I don't want to ruin Robert/Cora, I do like the prospect of more drama for them. I want Robert to realize the error of his ways, and I want Cora to find her ground and sense of worth. I think their relationship will be better for it.
I don't care about Edith much, really. I just wish she didn't take so much screen time.

My anger is directed at Julian Fellowes. My only way of coping is to not think about it too closely because it's like the Matrix - once you take the (can't remember which colour) pill you can't go back.
There was so much talk about whether Mary deserved Matthew but I'm starting to wonder if it's the reverse. How can he not see. If I hadn't seen the preview for episode 7 I wouldn't be so annoyed, but from the preview I have a feeling that Lavinia and Matthew are announcing a date for their wedding. I don't think that's when/where he announces his miraculous recovery. I think Mary will get seriously angry about it. And I don't blame her.

I think it would be odd for M/L to announce a wedding. Especially if Violet tells Matthew about Mary, then how could Matthew go on with the wedding announcement? Surely, he must be given some time to think!!?? He can't just say, "Gee thanks Vi, but I am gonna hump Lavinia. Sayonara" Oh will he?
And Violet would NOT tell Matthew AFTER the wedding was announced, by then it would be too late. So this is what gives me a sliver of hope.
Whatever that means.
