That I makes me really angry is the Robert one.
As far as the Matthew one, I have to see how this plays out. Plus we still have Christmas. But yea, if Lavinia dies as a result as seeing M/M kiss, he's going to be guilty. And responsible. I betcha Mary will too.

Yeah. As frustrating as it is, Matthew's response sounds completely IC. MASSIVE guilt complex. I feel tremendously sorry for him, actually. The most ass-ish thing IMO is for him to kiss Mary in the first place, though, lets be honest, SQUEEEEEEE!

And it's a perfectly understandable initial reaction. He's hardly going to be "Oh, damn. Lavinia's dead. MARY, COME TO ME!" but given time, I think his guilt will fade and he'll be a little more realistic about it - Christmas special perhaps?!

I think this is WHY now we have the Christmas special. I mean, why the hell write it if M/M don't get resolved? Do we need yet another episode of M/M finding ways to not be together? Maybe it's to wrap up Bates/Anna but I have to think JF's couple on his mind is M/M.

Yeah, maybe JF will get off his delusional horse and give CLOSURE to M/M by Christmas. Yes, whatever that closure may be. Or else the grinch will steal the living socks out of him this Christmas :P
Am I crazy for thinking maybe Matthew will come around by the end of 2x08? I cannot believe Mary is going to be heartbroken, sobbing and alone like S1. There will have to be SOME hope. They know of their feelings. It's just a matter of time now...
Honestly, Mary has had too difficult a S2 for her not to end it with a SHRED of happiness. I have to believe that.
(Otherwise, she should just marry Carlisle... :/ )
