I'm told there is a way to post stories so they can be read easier and in order without having to go back all the postings, but I can't figure it out. Plus, I thought this would make my life easier in posting stories...sadly it's not ( Read more... )

First off, love your DH icon! Also, I think your stories are good too. I guess some get the groupies as it were and some don't. I'll try w/ the tags and see if that works better for me. With me, there are days I do not wish to do more then just post them...but thankfully those days are not as many as they use to be...meaning there are days I feel like doing more. :>)

I know what you mean about wanting to just post quickly and be done with it. It often feels like too much trouble posting them in multiple places, especially as there is rarely any response beyond those who would have sent FB from my LJ entry anyway.

Rest assured, I have enjoyed ALL of your stories and will hunt down the rest :-)

By the way... you could always use a TAG to tie up particular stories. Then the reader just selects the tag link and it brings up all the entries (in date order) with that tag.

Ah, feedback...a few get it in abundance, a lot don't. I don't, and if I wrote only for fb I would have quit ages ago. I know on Chakotayfest I will get 2 fb's - one from Whoa Nellie & 1 from Darksusie. Anything else is quite frankly a bonus. At TPD you can see your fics have been read even if nobody comments. When was really active on lj, I got anything from 1 - 11 fbs out of 30 or so members. I still post there occasionally.

I've been reading a bunch of posts at metafandom in recent weeks about fb, so I can pass on some of the things I read there ( ... )

I'm sorry, Mandy. I do like your work, I just have not been reading any C/P stories in a long time. I've been hooked in and wrapped up in Rodney and I admit it. So, big sorry.

I get people reading my stories average of 500-1000 per a story and if I'm lucky I get an average of 5 Feedback. So, I can only wonder what is wrong w/ the stories themselves...other then grammer and stuff, but as I said I have a good beta so that shouldn't really be it.

I guess I write too different from the norm, and if that's the case, not much going to change as I like what I write. :>)

Hey, Kim. I know you're doing SGA and I don't expect you to read outside where you want to be, so apology not needed!!! I'm just pleased you actually keep your list open, because it would be much easier for you to just close it. I'm sorry if my post sounded bitchy, but it wasn't meant to be.
It's not your stories - I agree the others, and you have some super, absolutely memorable ones in all of your fandoms. Don't change your writing - you have to like it or it won't ring true.
Besides, I've said it before, and I'll keep saying it - I wouldn't have writtten anything without your help and encouragement several years ago, and Susie has said the same. You were very welcoming and encouraging to new people on your list. May that's what the SGA fandom needs - welcoming and encouraging mods and then maybe more people would leave fb?!
(And I've bought season 1 of SGA on DVD...)

Yes, Crusade in Jeans is one of my stories. If in doubt, go to Area 52 or Wraithbait and look under my name (Mystic) and see what I have posted. I also have some Babylon 5 stories, Emergency stories, and a bunch of Star Trek mostly Voyager (Chakkotay/Paris) and DS9 (Julina BAshir/guy of my choice)

WOW!! I LOVE that story...I really do. It is in my KEEP folder on my PDA so I can re-read parts when I want an uplift :-) I adore Jack...my first love from SG1 :-)

Hmm...Chakotay/Paris...will have to hunt them down too. I've only ever written the one Chakotay/Paris called 'Chain of Command'.

I loved Babylon 5 when it was showing here...will have to check out the pairings. I was a Sheridan fan :-) I had the chance to meet Bruce Boxleitner at a convention when B5 was a big hit. He was so lovely :-)

Below is a link to my list. I don't post a lot there either...I'm pathetic I know. But in the links section are all the...you got it...links to where I have my stories posted too. As for Babylon 5, the paring is only Marcus Cole and Neroon. Marcus was my fav character and when they killed him, I droped the show.
