Suggestions on introductions? I know the basics. Buddy always gets fed first. Buddy gets more attention. Any other tips to make things go smoothly?

I just feed everybody at the same time. Several feet between them and I stand there. Watson used to bully folks. Now Shadow or Shelton take turns.

If they get into a spat I yell and stomp and throw towels or pillows to break it up and then I make them sit and sit and sit.

They can't be 'big dog. That is me or Charles. With more than one dog - they will try to get 'on top'- obedience training and an absolute refusal to have a favorite. If one is bad - both are bad.

I also never left new dogs alone for the day with old dogs for the first month. I put them in different rooms and closed the doors when I went to work.

After a week - I left them alone for an hour or so. Then lengthened the time. I got this from the trainers I took Watson & Shadow to and they also told me - that when I left them alone to make sure there was plenty of space for them to be apart from each other or to escape if they needed to.

This was actually more necessary with Shelton & Shadow at first.
