Remember when I said I wouldn`t be spamming up flists with grossness? I GUESS I LIED.

blushes was telling me to do a coloring tutorial last night, and I couldn´t sleep. This was obviously a good substitute for a good night´s rest.

Obviously, you´re going to want to start with lineart... :la
I´m using photoshop, but these things can also be applied to sai. I´m not sure about any other programs, though. Those are the only two I´ve got experience with. OTL

Anyway, set the lineart to multiply, and make new layer under it. That`ll be where you`ll be coloring. Awesome.
I usually start with either skin or hair, depending on my mood, more than anything else.
I´m starting with the hair here, obviously. I am also bad at tutorials. :la
This is probably mega-obvious, but I find that picking out the colors and saving them somewhere helps, a lot. Especially if you´re using a mouse or have unsteady hands. Cool.

So, once the hair is colored in, since 90% of the time I´m too lazy to shade it properly, I just lay a gradient over it.
If you don´t know how to do that, it´s like this:
You pick the colors you want to use...
Click and hold the fill-y bucket thingie...
Select the layer, in this case the layer for Norway´s hair...
Drag the gradient thingie...
And viola.

So, now that the hair is done, it`s time to move onto the skin.
Make a layer underneath the hair, and... start coloring.

Once that`s done, lock the opacity by clicking the little checkerboard-print button.

Aaaand, start shading!

Repeat this on any additional people...

ARE THEY KAWAII UGU. Yes, they are. Always.

Anyway, all that`s left is clothing, which is... very straight-forward. Color it in, and that`s it. :la

THIS IS THE FINISHED PRODUCT, YO.
... also ignore what I named the files and stuff, oh god, I was so bored.
