Could you imagine if the human mind ever learns how to reverse engineer itself?

Think about it. That would slow down, if not stop, aging all together.

Nanotechnology definently could go in that direction, but as far as how soon, I would have no clue, and who knows if it could ever be done.

What do you think?

not aging and not dying would take all the fun out of life....

everything has its season, does it not?

the thought of immortality, contrary to many's beliefs, is a sad thought so I do agree it would not be my direction of choice. It just boggles my mind how much altering the mind wants to do to itself rather than just enjoy what it has.

But on the otherhand, it would be sorta cool in a scary way. You wouldn't age, but you could still die of course.

Every cell is equipt with its own little suicide bag, an organelle which knows when it's supposed to age and when it's supposed to die.

I think my opinion would be a mite different if I was a few years older, in my true prime of life. I'm just crawling out of the nasty teenager rut. It's nice, but I don't want to be physically a teen forever.

But now that I think on it, I really don't want to be fifty-something like my parents and find myself with back problems and a metabolism slower than molasses.

you know what sketches me out? The idea of Minority Report-style eye voxes or microchips impedded in peoples ares for identification...
*shudder*
