i need to start doing that also - i suspect most of my money is spent eating out and getting coffee at starbucks. the rest of it is probably going towards yarn and gas and cigarettes. i NEED to quit smoking!

i love starbucks (1.80 for grande coffee of the day) i need to buy a bag and make at home, thankfully never been a cigarette smoker, would like to learn to knit - or at least know someone that does :) i have never actually seen it done.
it would be so cool to actually knit my own scarf or sweater! talking about self-sufficient.

knitting is wonderful - if you have a local yarn store, the people who are there would probably teach you for free if they have time. i've found that people that run independent yarn shops are more than happy to pass on skills. (especially since you will be shopping there!)
