I've just watched Million Dollar Hotel, which was incredibly beautiful and captivating. It is narrated by the main character, Tom, who is already dead (like in American Beauty, although it is in no way an imitation of that film). This is not a spoiler, by the way. Everything I am saying is made clear at the beginning. Anyway, the way he speaks

Hmm, don't really know what to say about this, as like you said, there's not much anyone can offer in the way of reassurance, but I just wanted to show that I've read this and I'm trying to understand (although it's hard for me to imagine what you're going through). I guess maybe you've just got to look forward to things getting better, which could happen any day.

Oh and that film sounds good, I might check it out. xx
