Doctor Who season 5 episode 1
I have to say that I thought the new season started off with a bang!
Doctor Who: I'm still making up my mind about Matt. Toward the end of the episode when he finally stopped regenerating and seemed to figure out who he was he was AWESOME! Matt has got more of the happy campy feel that David Tenent seemed to loose toward the end when he got all drama-y. It's fun to see him smiling and happy again. Matt also has the anger down pat. But the drama bits he didn't quite pull those off as well. I wanted to laugh a couple times when things got serious.
Amy: I really like the new companion. She's fiesty and fun, very cynical and I think will keep the doc on his toes. My one concern is she's got the whole "hero worship", love thing for the doctor. I REALLY hope they don't pull another Rose thing. Otherwise, I think she's going to be great!
All in all, I think it was a great start. Obviously I'm very excited about it. I hope it only gets better from here.
