Random prose moment
There are all sorts of things I should be working on - my research, outstanding work in progress, updating my websites, and so on ... But tonight, a sentence unrelated to any of those popped into my head and insisted I write it down.
So I did.

It really does feel like the start of something quite mythic, but I have the feeling the story that's lurking behind it will require all sorts of research I don't have time to do ...
There's something in there about the arrogance of princes, and the inadvisability of questioning (or rejecting) gifts from the gods, and how time eventually brings all the relevant players back to the stage - and perhaps one of the gods concerned recruits some additional help to make things turn out the way they were supposed to the first time round ... which may be where my werewolf comes in, because while I have a sense of her as a character, she's very independant minded and not at all the sort to be dictated to by fate. So she's probably better used as a wild card, rather than the reincarnated lover/enemy/murderer/betrayed wife or whatever the other heroine turns out to be ...
Hmm. Think I need to to think about this a little more!
