The trick seems to be not to fight anything but go the other way. I picked up the statue, the sword, the sceptre, some magic armour and something else (not gold) before I left the cave. Fun!

The armour does seem to offer some protection from the monsters ... I like the way it uses the LJ listed interests to decorate the scenery. I should go and have a wander round your dungeon - see what I can steal! :-)

It's quite all right - my mangled body was rescued by a mysterious govt organisation and I have been rebuilt stronger, faster, and better than before ... *g*
