That "thud" you heard was my jaw hitting the floor. You actually LIKE GURPS??? I thought my husband and I were the only ones in town who played any Steve Jackson games. We usually run into the Warhammer, Magic, D&D snobs who look down their noses at the very mention of GURPS. We also get the deeer-in-the-headlights look when we mention Traveller. We'd given up finding anyone who likes the same systems we do. Thank you for being open minded.

The chain game store (It's Your Move) doesn't carry GURPS, but independent stores like Attactix usually have a decent selection.

I've been working off and on for a while on a GURPS setting that I base partly on Traveller, with a bit of Blake's 7, Asimov, and Firefly thrown in. Not sure when I'll run that one.

I'd love to, but... mtfierce March 31 2008, 03:53:57 UTC
...since I'm still between houses, I don't feel I can really commit to another gaming night - which is a bummer - this sounds like fun!

Are you sure? We'd love to have you. Er... Do keep it in mind, it should hopefully go on for a couple months on my game (and we could tweak an NPC or otherwise do something to work you in), and there's likely to be yet another interesting adventure from someone else after that.
