... and the FBI agents have "FBI" on their bullet-proof vests. Every cop show has people with their marks - SWAT, CSI, etc. - on their b-proof vests.

Now, I want to know the answer to this question:

Do they have the marks on their vests so the crims can go "Aww, shit, better not shoot them"?
