Mmmm. Both poems are lovely. Some lines I particularly like:
Iron and salt into paper and print.
The child forgets the lesson
of the punishment.

and

the cryptic flicker of the candle

and, finally,

If they cut you open at the end
your bones would be blue.

These are so stark and lovely. They feel cold, like winter coming. What a cool arrangement you and your friend have!
