There was a satisfying crack as Pestilence's occipital bone collided with the kitchen wall. Or it would have been satisfying if Famine had been paying attention to anything other than his fists in his brother's shirt collar, or the way those harsh eyes, upon closer inspection, were speckled with alternating bands of blue. Violence was more common between him and the red Horseman, not the white, but sometimes patience was just an annoying wall keeping him from temptation. Flowers or no flowers, Famine wanted to see the other boy bleed

Not Gawain, there was something about him that seemed too high and mighty for the youngest of the family. No, whenever he could, Mordred would follow Agravaine around like a lost puppy seeking attention. No matter what it was the elder was doing, the younger would attempt to emulate him. He vowed one day to make his older brother proud of him.

The last thought that went through Mordred's head as he lay dying from the wound Arthur had inflicted was that he could finally see his favorite brother again.
