Despite all the hubbub about abortion lately, the last 20 or so years of legal abortions in the US have seen the numbers of abortions performed going way down. In other words, US policy as we've had is working.

Most arguments we hear on this topic tend to be much more about elections than anything else. Right now, the possible selling of fetal organs is a good way for the republicans to stir up their religious base. We'll see the democrats counter with a bunch of "war against women" talk, just like we saw a few years ago before the 2012 elections. In other words, expect a lot of sound & fury, signifying nothing until Nov. 2016 passes.

I get the impression that a lot of the arguments against Planned Parenthood are really arguments against abortion in general, which has been legal on a federal level for more than 40 years and will remain so unless Roe v. Wade is repealed (which isn't likely to happen no matter how vehemently "pro-life" our next president happens to be).
