The sky. The cyan that spreads 'till forever.
Sungyeol wonders what it does to attract Myungsoo's attention so very often. He may even be jealous, perhaps. Of a mere wide blue? Well, he is the childish type.
Myungsoo gazes at the range of colbalt, as he entwines his fingers with his lover's, the two lying in the middle of the grassy fields.
"Hyung? What is up there?"
He faces Sungyeol with wide eyes, curiosity definitely present within those orbs.
"How would I know? It's a sheet of blue, that's all I can say. It could just be a cloth, for all you know."
Myungsoo chuckled, and nuzzled his cheek into Sungyeol's chest.
"Don't be mean to the sky," Myungsoo joked, poking Sungyeol's nose lightly, lying back down. "I've always wished to see how the sky is like. What's beyond that big blue. If there's another world up there. Maybe if heaven even exi-"
Myungsoo felt Sungyeol's lips pressed against his own.
"You speak too much for your own good."
-
"Hey everyone! It's the queers!"
Everyone immediately began laughing, Sungyeol squeezing Myungsoo's hand as a form of encouragement, the younger looking around in confusion.
After surfacing from the mocking cafeteria, the pair settled on a bench by the winding, empty pathways of the campus. Myungsoo sported a puzzled expression as he casually sat in between Sungyeol's legs, his back against the elder's chest.
"Hyung? Why do they always point and laugh?"
Sungyeol kissed Myungsoo's forehead.
"Because they are all jealous. They are jealous of the fact that you're mine."
-
"It is not easy to accept, a couple of the same gender. It's rather... interesting, i should say. People just aren't familiar with love and what it is, beyond the 'girl and the boy holding hands'."
It's been quite impossible for the pair to sit where someone might see them. Rubbish would be chucked right at them, their food would be pushed over, and who knows what's up the students' sleeves.
Sungyeol's hand found its way to Myungsoo's, entwining the fingers together, as the chilly wind blew across their faces, the two seated on the stools the brought up from the floor below them.
"The rooftop's a nice place for lunch, hyung."
Sungyeol nodded, and dusted some of the chalk powder that had remained on his pants, after the recent harrassment of students.
He was deep in thought, until he heard Myungsoo's chattering about the very thing he obsessed about-the sky.
"Myungsoo? Do you want to see, what's above the sky?"
The younger nodded, a wide beam lacing his lips.
Sungyeol gently pulled him out of the chair, and walked to the very edge.
It is at this point, when Myungsoo looks at him so earnestly, the honesty baring in his dark eyes and his brown hair swishing in the sighing breeze, that Sungyeol thinks love will transcend the limitations of gravity.
So they jump - hands held fast and eyes squeezed shut, up, up into the deep blue sky.
