Man, I got to flex my camera a bit today.
The zoom is quite amazing. See the little green square on the crane (7MPx, resized to 600x400, 3:2, 1x zoom):
Tadaa (2.8mpx, 3:2, 21.4x optical zoom(effectively), reduced to 600x400):
I've also been thinking about how to balance this journal, since I don't want it to be 100% photoblog. Since I plan to use flickr (
http://www.flickr.com/users/myutopian) more often, I'll put pictures there, and either flickrblog them to here, or paste a few in from time to time. I'll experiment a bit, and listen to feedback. Maybe this idea will break everyone's friends pages? I wouldn't want to do that. Or would I?!?!
As for pictures that have to do with people and events, I may pick a random one to put here, but I may post those images on MSN Spaces (Live watever. M$ loves the Live brand lately).ON that side note, I'm always on all these IM doohickeys, but I dont' feel that I talk much on 'em, so if I'm not already on your list, then add me if you think I m ight be fun to talk to. Maybe I'm not! I don't know :o MSN: myutopian[at]gmail[dot]com. AIM: bnjmnwood. Skype: Aipotu.
This past weekend, I watched The Delicate Art of Parking (Hank from Corner Gas, Walter from Stargate SG1, that weed guy from Harold and Kumar), and Star Wars Episode 1. I also attended a dinner out to celebrate
unigirl101's birthday, and managed to get through a 3-hour hazardous materials online training course required for those in chemistry labs. They mixed up true and false (sometimes 'true' was A, somteimes B), so I got one wrong because I wasn't paying attention to such things.
Today is Shanti's birthday ^_^ Happy Birthday. I met her downtown after out respective classes, and we walked around the terrace above the Rideau Centre. The sun was nice while it lasted. Now I have to bring her her present!
Flags were half masting.
Cab driver was talking, not working.
Birthday girl does silly things. But wow I figured out depth of field!
