sunday afternoon, eve and i attended the comic book convention at the shrine auditorium. my main purpose in being there? for the appearance of samwise gamgee!
i also go to wear my new fellowship cape and noble pin, which i finished making not long ago. i went barefoot, as hobbits do not wear shoes. [i am actually an elbit, or a cross between an elf and hobbit. more about that later.]
because of my lack of shoes, i stepped on a lot of things that hurt. but! not in vain, i enjoyed my full-out hobbit atire.
i waited in line for quite some time before i entered, and as soon as i got in eve and i took a seat close enough to the stage. within a half hour sean astin, or samwise gamgee, was on the stage. i took many pictures, although i'm much too lazy to post them. and, happily, i was the first to ask a question! after the q&a was over i waited in yet another line to get his autograph. to my dismay, i couldn't afford one. but, i did get to talk to him a bit more. i also bought a print of frodo and samwise climbing.
okay. i'm done. and i feel three times as dorky.
